History

Meat Market in Hubbard

We at Voget Meats Inc take great pride in the fact that we've served quality meats to the community for over 66 years. As a family-owned business, we put our heart and soul into everything that we do, from cutting up meat to interacting with our customers on a daily basis. We are located just two blocks west of Highway 99E.

Our beginnings

Voget Meats Inc was first started by Garfield Voget in 1936. He was a German immigrant who left in 1902 and had first came to Hubbard in 1921 to buy into the Hubbard Creamery. His nephew joined him and in 1940, they started curing small amounts of meats with their own special method. In 1952, Voget built a special smokehouse rooms for the business to cure, hold, and process their own meat.

Awards Won

Ever since the beginning of the company, our meat has won numerous awards. Recently, Voget Meats placed first in the 2017 Northwest Cured Meat Championships in Ocean Shores, WA for Bone-In Ham, Commercial Bacon, and Fresh Sausage.

Continuous Quality

Voget Meats Inc has now been passed onto the third generation, to niece and nephew Merle and Grace Stutzman. Throughout the years, we've continuously offered the same old-fashioned quality by sticking to Garfield and Abe's methods and formulas. We continue to provide Hubbard and the surrounding areas with specialty meats and quality meat processing.
